33rd Annual Friends of the Lake Forest Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Lake Forest Library will hold the 33rd Annual Book Sale under the big yellow and white tent at West Park (Woodland and Green Bay Road) in Lake Forest this September. The book sale is open to the public from Friday, September 12 through Sunday, September 14, 2008. More than 100,000 high quality used books in over 100 categories will be offered at bargain prices. The most popular categories include:
• Art and Architecture
• Collectors, autographed, and local interest
• Best sellers: fiction and non-fiction
• History: Military and world
• Children’s picture books, Newberry and Caldecott Medal winners
• Cookbooks: traditional, vintage, and local
• Travel and adventure
• DVDs, Videos, Audio Books, and CDs

Books are categorized and many sections alphabetized for easier shopping. Volunteers staff the sale, helping in checkout, book restocking, and sales assistance. Admission is free, with plenty of parking available! Proceeds benefit the Lake Forest Library.

Members and workers sale: Thursday, September 11, 2008 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; 20% surcharge; memberships available at the door; to volunteer, contact Marlene Koe at 847-295-1581.

Public sale: Friday, Sept. 12, 2008 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, 10 a.m.– 5 p.m., Bargain half price day
