A day at the Deerfield Farmer's Market
Patricia Daugherty and her daughter, Eliana, 4, of Prairieview peruse fresh flowers at the Deerfield Farmer's Market Aug. 16.

The Deerfield Farmer's Market kicked off its 2008 season June 14, welcoming locals from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday to explore the smorgasboard of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, breads, cheeses and more.

NeighborhoodCircle.com headed to the northwest corner of Deerfield Road and Robert York Avenue on Aug. 16 to see what this year's market had in store. The sunny and warm morning made for a perfect day at the market, which wasn't too crowded. Market goers could take a break from perusing produce and sit under a shaded tent while enjoying musical entertainment by www.breakersbroken.com, a three-person band from Glenview.

The Deerfield Farmer's Market will continue each Saturday until Oct. 11. For more information, click here.
