School was in session at Deerfield's Little Red School House July 13 for the Deerfield Historical Society's Family Day.

Hungry music lovers flocked to the Jewett Park Pavillion, 836 Jewett Park Drive, for the first Eat to the Beat concert of the summer. Concert goers could enjoy a picnic lunch while listening to music by Jimmy Mac who entertained the crowd with lively tunes by the Beatles.

The Big Band Sound of Deerfield performed a concert Thursday evening in Red Star Plaza off Deerfield Road for a crowd of 40 people. The concert was part of a summer-long concert series sponsored by the Village Music Store of Deerfield.
