Independence Grove Forest Preserve in Libertyville saw a massive influx of happy faces June 11, most of them fitting the "55 or better" age group.
The Deerfield Fine Arts Festival held May 31 and June 1 in Jewett Park, gave artists from local communities and across the country a chance to display their work to the public.
Ryerson Woods Environmental Educators Jill Stites and Jen Berlinghof tapped the first of 30 sugar maple trees for sap on Feb. 27. The event was rescheduled twice due to conflicts with weather.
This is just one of the many roses which bloomed at the Chicago Botanic Gardens this season. Once the snow hits, this picture will be a wonderful reminder of the breathtaking summer we experienced and the next one we have to look forward to!
