There were sandcastles to be built at the Glencoe Beach although there were clouds in the sky July 12. Two families showed up with pails and ideas in mind for the Family Sand Sculpting Contest. The lifeguards also had a team and enthusiastically went about creating a turtle out of sand.

Participants had the chance to win supersoakers, more sandcastle building equipment and other fun beach toys.
