When Rachel Olesker asked her mother if she could take an old necklace that wasn’t being worn and tear it apart, in order to make something new, her mother didn’t stop to scold, instead, she gave her blessing.

The Highland Park Players will be holding auditions for their fall musical, THE FULL MONTY, on Wednesday, August 13th from 7-10pm and Thursday, August 14th from 7-10pm. Callbacks if necessary will be held on Monday, August 18th from 7-10pm.

A little bit of the suburbs will be spending some time in the city this month while some of the city will take up residency in the suburbs during an art gallery swap between Glencoe’s Gallery 659 and Chicago’s ARC Gallery.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation is coming to Chicago July 30th - August 3rd to give a 4-day musical theatre intensive camp at the Gorton Community Center in Lake Forest. A concert will be given on Sunday evening August 3rd. This camp is designed for both children and adults who love musical theatre. Active Broadway actors teach and perform with the students. This year's teachers are the wonderful Hollis Resnik, Jarrod Emick, Jeremy Schonfeld and David Petro.
