Grayslake North High School students, teachers, and staffers decked the gym in medieval spirit on Oct. 11 as part of Homecoming week activities. The various activities set up for the Medieval Festival included throwing wet sponges at a math teacher, racing through an inflatable obstacle course, and eating baked goods. All proceeds went to the freshman and sophomore classes.

Grayslake Central High School students lined the sidewalks of Center Street on Oct. 5, painting storefront windows for the first day of Homecoming 2007 activities. Each group of students drew jungle scenes to fit this year’s theme, “Welcome to the Jungle.” Art teacher Susan Berns said window painting has been a Grayslake Central tradition since the school opened in the mid-1940s.
