Take a break from a cold winter’s night for a warm night of music and laughter as Heartland Animal Shelter welcomes back Peter Mayer for his Second Annual Concert to benefit the cats and dogs at Heartland. The concert is scheduled for Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Northbrook Theatre – Northbrook Leisure Center, 3323 Walters Avenue.

The animals at Heartland Animal Shelter in Northbrook have been good this year and are looking for nice families to move into their forever homes. And while they are waiting, they are hoping Santa and his many elves help out the shelter with extra donations during the holiday season.

Freezing temperatures may have stopped some people from stopping by the Glencoe Goes Gold event, but those who ignored the cold took to the Watts Center ice with ease.
