If you didn’t know the answer, there is a new quick and easy way for you to learn about proper food storage and other food safety tips. The Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center now offers a free 30-minute food safety class for the general public. The class is available online at www.co.lake.il.us/health.
GardenABCs.com, a new, locally produced website, is helping educators, parents and local advocates start and maintain school and community gardens.
Registration has begun for Tease Workout’s summer/fall session which runs August 17 through October 11. Tease Workout’s Signature Pilates & Pole Dancing classes are held in eight-week sessions; each session includes eight classes (one class per week on a designated time and day). Each Signature Workout runs 90 minutes. There are seven levels through which students can advance. All students, regardless of previous experience or training, begin at level one. To move to the next level, the previous levels must first be successfully completed.
