Folks came out to shop, eat, enjoy some music and shop some more in Libertyville on July 18.

The Friday edition of the annual MainStreet Libertyville Sidewalk Sale, taking place from July 17 to 20, was well attended, in part due to the coinciding Friday "Out to Lunch" concert in Cook Park, according to MainStreet volunteers. The booths, tents and carts of vendors around the park joined the sidewalk offerings in front of shops all along Milwaukee Avenue to lure bargain hunters.

The activities were interrupted around noon by a sudden heavy downpour, but the sale continues through the weekend.
