Fun was had by all at the opening reception of "I Fall to Pieces" at Gallery 659. The works of painter Judith Joseph, fiber artist Harriet Kohn, jeweler/metalsmith Babette Powell, & bead/mosaic sculpture Nancy Segal will be displayed through October 31, 2008, Tues-Sat from 11:00AM - 5:00PM at 659 Vernon in Glencoe.

More than 150 people were already waiting in line when the doors opened at the new Half Price Books Highland Park store Sept. 18. Many said they were already familiar with other stores in the Dallas-based chain, and wanted to be there when the 101st store opened.

Goose dropping was popular once again in Libertyville August 23, as more than 1,000 people turned out to enjoy the live music, food, drink, carnival games and fireworks display at the third annual Goose Is Loose Festival. But most of all they came to see the Goose Dropping.

The Lake County Greek Festival returned August 15-17 after a two year absence with an important addition to the celebration: the new St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.

August 6 marked the 100th year that Lake Forest Day has been celebrated, and residents of the city and friends from neighboring communities turned out in droves for the festivities.
