This weekend, ocean seafood will be available as fresh as it gets in land-locked Libertyville.
With J.C. Penney’s marketing homage to “The Breakfast Club” as it hawks its trendy back-to-school clothes to the Jonas Brothers singing the catchy “Hello, Goodbye” in Target commercials, stores are replacing lawn chairs and beach towels for notebooks and protractors. The changes are a less-than subtle signal that school is right around the corner.
Standing on ladders or crouching down low, a dozen volunteers teamed up, paint brushes in hand, to prime every nook and cranny of a newly constructed home. The volunteers spent the day working all for the sake of helping a family in need.
