A former Aurora man who eluded police for 12 years after being charged in the death of his infant daughter was caught near the Mexican border after entering the U.S. illegally and going to a Texas bar, authorities said.

Bernardo Beltran, 43, was charged in 1996 in the death of 5-month-old Yasmine Beltran, who died from shaken baby syndrome, police said.
