More than 50 locals flocked to Ryerson Woods Oct. 12 for the forest preserve's fall festival celebration.

Mundelein High School celebrated its homecoming football game Sept. 26 with a pep rally assembly and a parade through the village down Hawley Street.

More than 85 area golfers hit the links at Steeple Chase Golf Club in Mundelein Sept. 25 in support of the Green Oaks – Libertyville – Mundelein – Vernon Hills Chamber of Commerce.

Goose dropping was popular once again in Libertyville August 23, as more than 1,000 people turned out to enjoy the live music, food, drink, carnival games and fireworks display at the third annual Goose Is Loose Festival. But most of all they came to see the Goose Dropping.

Students at Mundelein High School closed out their first week of classes August 15 for the 2008-2009 school year with a "Welcome Aboard" assembly in the school gymnasium.

Kokyo Taiko Drum Troupe from the Buddhist Temple of Chicago performed for hundreds at the Chicago Botanic Garden Aug. 17 as part of the Malott Japanese Garden Summer Festival.
