Spidermen, princesses, pumpkins and witches gathered at the Glencoe Community Center, 999 Green Bay Road, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 23 for a night filled with Halloween games, entertainment and of course, candy.

Libertyville Days is the community's annual celebration of itself, and the first day of the 2008 festival was full of fun for all ages.

Parishioners that gathered at Kirk of the Lakes Presbyterian Church in Mundelein received a bonus on Dec. 16, as children of the congregation performed a pageant following regular services.
