The Northbrook Historical Society sponsored a neighborhood festival featuring old fashioned fun for kids of all ages.
More than 150 people were already waiting in line when the doors opened at the new Half Price Books Highland Park store Sept. 18. Many said they were already familiar with other stores in the Dallas-based chain, and wanted to be there when the 101st store opened.
Northbrook residents flocked to the Village Green July 31 for the 84th annual Northbrook Days festival. Hosted by the Norhbrook Civic Foundation, the fest featured games, rides and the Taste of Northbrook. Northbrook Days is the Civic Foundation's only fundraising event of the year.
Area car enthusiasts flocked to Navy Park in the Glen Town Center from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 20 for the North Shore Car Show.
In Glenview, the place to be for fun June 28 was at the 35th annual Glenview Summer Festival.
The Northbrook Environmental Quality Commission, in conjunction with the Village of Northbrook and the Northbrook Park District, invited the public to celebrate Earth and Arbor Day on April 26.
