McKenzie School opened its doors for the first day of School Aug. 28, welcoming new and returning students to kickoff the 2008-2009 school year.

Incoming freshman and transfer students were welcomed to Regina Dominican High School Aug. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. for an ice cream social event to acquaint them with their new school.

Harper School in Wilmette welcomed students and their families to the annual school fun fair from 3 to 4 p.m. on May 21.

Representatives from the Village of Wilmette Public Works Department appeared on the playground area of Central School April 25 for a special Arbor Day event.
